Recommended 5th Wheel Hitch for 2022 GMC 3500HD Towing 2021 Jayco Pinnacle 38FLGS

Hello, I have a 2022 GMC 3500HD short bed with a factory installed puck prep. We are going to be getting a 2021 Jayco Pinnacle 38FLGS. Would I need a slider unit or would a fixed be sufficient? Thanks in advance!

It looks like the 2021 Jayco Pinnacle 38FLGS has a slightly tapered nose and a pin box that's a bit longer than standard, plus the 2022 GMC Sierra 3500 short bed is 6'-10" which provides a bit of extra clearance compared to some other short bed trucks. However with that said, I do still recommend using the B&W Companion Slider # BWRVK3775 in order to give yourself the peace of mind to make tight turns without worrying about potential contact with the truck cab. You may be able to get away with using a fixed hitch like the # BWRVK3715 if you're comfortable with the limitations, but I typically believe that erring on the side of caution is this best in these situations.
