Selecting The Correct Reese Goose Box For A Heartland Bighorn 3760EL

How do I know if this Goosebox will work on my 5th wheel. Lippert Components Inc. S/N: S000109017 LCI Item Number: 365983 Heartland Bighorn 3760EL

The Reese Goose Box # RP85FR will fit on your Heartland Bighorn 3760EL. You have a Lippert 1621 pin box from the factory on your Bighorn.
In looking up information on your Bighorn it looks like your GVWR is only 16,000lbs and your tongue weight is below the 3,200lbs which would allow you to use a Reese Goose Box # RP85FR.
You can still use the 20,000lb Goose Box and should use it if your tongue weight is over the 3,200lbs when you are fully loaded. This can also be transferred to another camper that uses the the popular 1621 pin box if you decide to upgrade in the future.
You will need to also include safety chains as they are required when you use a ball connection. The Reese Safety Chain Kit # RP49151 is rated for 20,000lbs and can be used with either Goose Box. The Tow Ready Safety Chain Kit # 49150 is only rated for 16,000lbs and can be used with equal weight Goose Box.
