Differences Between Pace Edwards UltraGroove Retractable Hard Tonneau Cover Models

Im looking at the Pace Edwards Ultragroove Tonneau cover. I see there is also an Ultragroove metal. Im struggling to find the difference between the two, other than the outside look being different and $500. Is there some sort of structural difference e.g. the metal version has more metal components, or is thicker/stronger, etc or is it just how it looks?

The covers you were looking at were for ones specific for Ford's and ones specific for Chevy/GMC's so there can be price difference between the two brands. There are also price differences between aluminum or aluminum/vinyl and electric powered or manual. The # 311-KRC0404 model you were looking at that is $500 cheaper is a much older model that was designed for GMC/Chevy models 1999-2014.

For your 2022 Ram 2500 8'bed the correct fits are:

Pace Edwards UltraGroove Retractable Hard Tonneau Cover # 311-KRD7936 which is manual open/close and aluminum/vinyl mix.

Pace Edwards UltraGroove Metal Retractable Hard Tonneau Cover # 311-KMD7936 which is manual open/close and all aluminum.

Pace Edwards UltraGroove Retractable Hard Tonneau Cover # 311-KED7936 which is electric open/close and all aluminum.
