Does Weight Distribution Allow for Higher Tongue Weights to be Towed
Question:
if i put a equalizer hitch on my trailer can i improve the tongue weight

A lot of times when you use a weight distribution system you can tow a trailer with a higher tongue weight but you will see this listed on the hitch sticker as it will have one capacity for weight carrying and another for weight distribution like the Curt hitch part # C14002 which fits a 2012 Ford F-150 that is rated for 1,000 lbs tongue weight without a WD system or 1,200 lbs for if with a WD system.
For a weight distribution system that fits this range the Reese Strait Line part # RP66084 would work great as it has a tongue weight range of 600-1,200 lbs and has the best sway control at fighting sway before it starts.
