Power Steering and Transmission Cooler Recommendations for a 2007 Honda Pilot
Question:
Hi Etrailer experts. I have been comparing products from Honda pilots stores: Essentially what I would like to know is, is product# D15902 a combination of Hondas part: 53765-s9v-800 and 06255-pvj-315. These are two separate products, atf cooler and power steering fluid cooler. I have been looking at prices on different websites and they have been coming out to $400 compared to $127 from your website. Is product D15902 too good to be true for the price, or does it do the same thing as the Honda products that I mentioned. Essentially I want to tow a 2,200 lb sailboat with my 2007 Honda pilot. thank you very much for the answer. take care.

First, if the parts you are looking at elsewhere are OEM or otherwise branded as Honda parts, that is why they cost what they do. Aftermarket parts are almost always at a lower cost. And Derale products like cooler # D13502 are quality parts that I, and several others here, use in our own vehicles. So it is good and true rather than too good to be true! I have included a link to a video showing a typical installation for you and a link to our FAQ article on transmission coolers.
You could get a power steering cooler separately from the transmission cooler or as an alternative to a combination cooler. Our most popular power steering cooler is # D13200.
