Will the the EcoHitch Trailer Hitch # 306-X7345 Work with My 2018 Honda CR-V?
Question:
Hello, I have a 2018 CRV that I would like to add a hitch to. My main goal is to put on a small motorcycle rack to transport my 230 pound mini motorcycle. Total weight should be under 300lb. Would this be a good option?

Yes - if you are looking for a hitch that can withstand a maximum of 300 pounds of tongue weight on your 2018 Honda CR-V, then the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7345 is a great option. The EcoHitch has a maximum tongue weight capacity of 525 pounds. However, with that being said, it is important to make sure that the tongue weight rating on your vehicle can accommodate that much weight. I recommend consulting your owner's manual for this rating.
If you need a recommendation for a motorcycle carrier, I recommend the etrailer Motorcycle Carrier w/ Ramp for 2" Hitch # e98873. Since the etrailer motorcycle carrier, weighs 58 pounds, you will have a totatl of 283 pounds of weight when transporting your mini motorcycle. Also, since the carrier allows you to choose from 3 different pinhole locations on the shank, you will not have any issues with bumper clearance if you use the EcoHitch receiver. If you need straps to secure your motorcycle, I recommend the Motorcycle Tie Downs - Cam Buckle Straps with Shock Absorbers and Loop Straps # SS6-SL14.
