Can a Valterra water tank be used as a gray water tank? If so, would it be a gravity drain?

You could use the Valterra RV Water Tank - Non-Toxic - ABS Plastic - 30" x 8" x 16" - 15 Gallons # R8030 as a gray water tank but gray water tanks usually have a larger drain hole to ensure that no food particles clog the drain line. This tank only has 3/8" threaded fittings to install the drain line. It would be a gravity drain and there are multiple fitting locations to allow for different positioning of the tank.

The #RK909 Valterra ABS Tank Fill Kit with Threaded Cap is designed for ABS tanks where you have MDPE polyethylene. According to Valterra, you can use the pieces from the kit assuming they fit the holes on your tanks which you would need to measure.…
