Replacement Dexter Trailer Brake Kit To Replace Dexter 36-19 Brake Assemblies
Question:
I am considering replacing the Dexter brakes on my 2017 Keystone Passport. It has two 2 3500 lb axles Dexter # 36319. I cant seem to find the part number thst I find on the brakes 36-19. It looks like these are manual adjust brakes we just bought the trailer a few weeks ago.... What would be the part numbers to replace these with? And... Can I replace them with Nev-R-Adjust instead? And if I can what would be those part numbers? The brakes are 10 x 2-1/4. Thanks!

The Dexter Electric Trailer Brake Kit # 23-26-27 contains both the left and right hand brake assemblies that replace your 36-19 assemblies on your 2017 Keystone Passport.
Yes, you can replace them with the Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brake Kit # 23-468-469, which I recommend for the ease of maintenance as well as the improved braking. Since these are self adjusting that means that you have more consistent braking as the pads wear and you will not have to constantly adjust your brake controller between adjustments. The pads will actually last longer as well since they will each take part of the load versus a manually adjusted set where one side may be out of adjustment and provide most of the braking.
