Can I Use My Old Thule SquareBars With My 2017 Toyota Tacoma

Question:

Looking to see if I can salvage my older 53 inch square bars to a newer naked roof set up. Going on a naked 2017 Tacoma double cab. Had used I think a 450R with strap with raised rails on an Xterra prior. Thanks

You can use your older square crossbars if they are the SquareBar Evo Crossbars. Those crossbars have a channel underneath the bar that is used to mount it to the Thule foot. If this is the case, your roof rack for your 2017 Toyota Tacoma will consist of the following:

Thule SquareBar Evo Crossbars - Steel - 53" Long - Qty 2, part # TH712400,
Evo Clamp Feet for Thule Crossbars - Naked Roofs - Qty 4, part # TH710501,
Fit Kit for Thule Evo Clamp Roof Rack Feet - 5107, part # TH145107, and the
Thule One-Key System Lock Cylinders - Qty 4, part # TH450400.

This rack has a weight capacity of 165 lbs. The square bar works with all roof rack accessories that clamp the crossbars. With the addition of the Thule lock cylinders, you can lock this rack to your 2017 Toyota Tacoma.

If your Thule square crossbar does not have a mounting channel underneath the bar, you have the previous generation square crossbar. The new Thule feet no longer work with those crossbars. However, the previous generation square crossbar will work with Inno Feet for Square Crossbars. Your Inno rack would consist of the following:
