Troubleshooting RVS Camera System Where Side Camera Sticks On After Blinker

Question:

Hello - I have a 2018 Coachmen Orion that has an RVS-770619N factory installed with a backup camera and two side cameras. After taking the RV out of storage after almost a year, I noticed something peculiar happening with the camera. I usually leave the rear view camera on while driving, and then when I use the turn signals, it switches to that view for about 5 seconds or so and then goes back to the rear view. But yesterday it stuckinch on the side view and the monitor buttons would not respond at all to change the view, power it off, nothing. After I got home, I let the RV sit for a while and when I came back out and tried it, everything worked as usual. I left the RV running for about 15-20 minutes, went inside and tried it again and everything was stuck. Any idea on what my issue may be? I am leaving for a trip this weekend, and I am pretty concerned driving without it working properly Thanks!

When the view is stuck what is the lighting functions of the setup doing? Are any of the turn signals or brake lights sticking on at the same time or are they functioning fine?

If the light functions are staying on you have a lighting short that is confusing the camera system. If the lights are functioning fine the issue would be the multiplexer which you could replace with the # RVS-501N.

Would this fix apply to an earlier model 2007 Winnebago Sightseer? My blinkers work on the outside but on the inside the right blinker light is stuck on and the monitor is stuck on the right camera. The alarm sounds every minute or so since it thinks the right blinker stuck is on. This problem is intermittent which I would think would rule out components on the fuse box? Should I replace the multiplexer and the wiring harness? I have not taken it apart yet. Thank you!

@RayS A multiplexer is most likely not your problem. I wish we could help more but it is most likely going to require a trip to a dealer or someone who's pretty good at wiring to track down the problem. If the problem is intermittent that will mean that's likely a loose wire or a component that is failing and when it gets hot the issue arises.

@JamesonC Thank you very much!! I'll check for loose wires.
