Suspension Enhancement for a 2003 Chevy Tahoe with Auto Level Rear Suspension
Question:
Hi, Id like to add air springs to my 2003 Tahoe with auto-ride/auto-level/air-ride or whatever everyone calls it these days. I pull a boat, with about 600 lbs of tongue weight, and the auto-ride compressor never shuts off. Any help with model numbers or modifications would be helpful

I recommend installing a set of Timbren springs for added support. They will provide the support you need without having to run air lines and fill up or deflate air bags. Please keep in mind that adding Timbren springs or any suspension enhancement product may not stop the auto-leveling motor from running, but there is a very good chance that it will. If you have a 4-wheel drive model use # TGMRG25C. For a 2-Wheel drive model use # TGMRYS4.
Be sure to check your vehicle owners manual to make sure the Tahoe can handle the 600 pounds of tongue weight. Also check the hitch for a sticker that lists its capacity. Some of the hitches for the 2003 Tahoe max out at 600 pounds.
