Recommended Ball Mount With 4" Drop For 6500lb Trailer
Question:
Hi- I need to about 4-5 inches and am told my trailer has a 410 TW. Your 10,000 lb hitch says 400. Can you direct me to a solution? Trailer is 6500 lbs wet.

I would be happy to help!
The Roadmaster High-Low Adapter # RM-048-8 you were looking at is designed for flat towing a vehicle, and cannot be used to tow a trailer.
Instead you need a ball mount. I recommend the Draw-Tite Ball Mount # 2753 which has 4" of drop. You will also need either 2" hitch ball # 63845, or 2-5/16" hitch ball # C40007 to match the coupler on your trailer.
This setup has a 7500lb trailer weight rating, and a 750lb tongue weight rating which is plenty for your 6500lb trailer, but the 410lbs tongue weight you mentioned sounds awful low. Typically tongue weight is 10-15% of the trailer weight so you will need to use the included help article to confirm your tongue weight first.
I included a video of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
