Troubleshooting A Chirping Noise Coming From An Atwood Rooftop AC Unit
Question:
Hello- when I have the air conditioner in the auto mode and the air conditioner compressor switches from fan to on, there is sometimes a chirp. How can i disable the beep as it wakes me up at night? It doesnt always do it, but only occasionally and I get figure out why it happens.

I spoke with Dometic and they didn't think the the chirp was coming from the rooftop unit of your # AT15027-22. I recommend removing the shroud and ensuring the compressor and all other parts are completely tightened down and there's not debris possibly in the unit. You should also have a licensed technician check the Freon levels because either too low or too high Freon levels will cause different noises.
