Where To Run Power and Brake Output Wires For Trailer Brake Controller In 2015 Chevrolet Equinox

Question:

Im at the point of wiring through the fire wall, but not sure just the best place be to run the hot wire and brake light back to the trailer from the battery box . Got my controller box under the steering ,the brake switch in and wire to the Fues box . what be the best way ? thank for all the help it taken a long time doing but you help much, plus added my controller switch on the dash thank you

You are making some pretty good progress on your install and are almost there!

I recommend using the hole that the hood latch cable gets run through fire wall as the location to run the black power wire from your trailer brake controller to the vehicle battery, and to run the blue brake output wire back to your 7-way connector. You can see this location at the 10:55 minute mark of the included video of a trailer brake controller being installed on a similar 2012 Chevrolet Equinox.
