No Connection to Trailer Brakes But All Wiring is Good & Works on Other Trailer
Question:
Trailer brakes were replaced, all wiring has been tested and working but truck still says no connection. We hooked up to another trailer and electric brakes are working but not on our trailer. We have checked fuses on the truck, no problem there. Any ideas?? 2017 Dodge Ram 3500 with 2019 Lakota horse trailer

I do have an idea, and since you mentioned your other trailer is working, we can rule out your truck being the issue. Since you mentioned your brakes are new, and your wiring is just fine, the only other thing I can think may be the cause is corrosion in your trailer's 7-way.
That's really the only thing that makes sense if the wiring is not damaged, so you will want to take a look and you may see the pins corroded or damaged, and you can replace it with the Mighty Cord 7-Way RV-Style Trailer Connector w/ Molded Cable - Trailer End # A10-7W6.
I have added some links below to a number of help articles as well if you'd like to take a look.
