Expert Reply:
The Optronics LED RV Interior Double Dome Light with Switch - 815 Lumens - White Housing - Clear Lens # RVILL34 are designed to be wired into your RV or trailer's power distribution box. If you're using this to replace an existing light, you'll just connect the black wire to power and the white to ground since the connection to the power distribution box is already made.
If you're installing this completely new without any existing wiring, that would need to be run to the power distribution box so that it can receive power from the battery/batteries. If you're installing this in a cargo trailer or some sort of enclosed trailer without a power distribution box then you will need to connect this light directly to the battery. If you needed to make that connection you'd want to use some 10 gauge wiring # 10-1-1 and Ring Terminal - 12-10 Gauge Wire - 3/8" Ring ID # DW05705-1.
