To convert the hydraulic drum brakes on your 2001 boat trailer to hydraulic disc brakes you will need new brake assemblies, and you will need to replace the actuator with one rated for disc brakes. Disc brakes require quite a bit more pressure to work properly so the drum brake actuator you have installed would not work. However your current brake lines would be able to be reused assuming they are still in good shape.
To determine the correct disc brakes for your trailer you will need to find the bearing combination your current hubs use. The easiest way to do this is by removing one of your current hubs and looking for the bearing number stamped in the face of both the inner and outer bearings as shown in the included picture of the # L44649.
If you find your bearings are worn to the point that you cannot read the bearing numbers you will need to use digital calipers # PTW80157 to precisely measure your spindle in the locations shown in the included diagram.
Next you will need to know the GVWR of your trailer as that will determine the correct surge brake actuator. The GVWR will be on a tag on the frame of the trailer near the vin number.
If you can provide the above information I would be happy to confirm the correct components needed for the conversion.
