Trailer Hitch Receiver and Vehicle Wiring Harness For Towing With a 1972 Chevrolet K10 Pickup Truck
Question:
Hi, I have a 1972 Chevrolet K10 4WD truck. It has a 307 V8 engine w/ 3 speed on the column. It has leaf springs on the front and rear. It also has a standard step bumper not a bumper. I believe the shackles are 4 to 6 inches from the end of the frame rail. Will that hitch fit my truck? Thanks

Yes, the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C14082 will fit your 1972 Chevrolet K10 Pickup with either a 6' or 8' bed that has a standard step bumper. You can verify that it will fit by measuring the distance of your drivers to passenger side frame rails. It should be 34" from outside of the driver side frame rail to outside of the passenger side frame rail.
The Curt Vehicle Wiring Harness # C58044 and Universal Installation Kit # ETBC7 will give you the wiring needed to install a functioning 7-way trailer connector. If your will be hauling a trailer that requires electric trailer brakes a Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller # 90195 can be installed with the 7-way wiring.
