Like just about every brake controller available today, the Curt # C24VV TriFlex is installed with a direct connection to the vehicle battery and does NOT feature an on/off switch. This is intentionally done for safety reasons, to ensure that the end user doesn't inadvertently forget to turn the controller on before towing.
After between 10-20 minutes of inactivity, a brake controller will go into a 'sleep mode', during which time the controller will draw a miniscule amount of power from the battery. The only way this draw would discharge the battery is if the vehicle was left unattended for months on end.
I've linked to a help article about brake controllers that you'll likely find helpful.
