Trailer Hitch Receiver and Hopkins Wiring Harness Connector For a 2020 Chevrolet Traverse

Hello, I am looking at buying the cu29fr trailer hitch and I would like to use the HM40975 socket along with it. Does that include the wiring harness to connect to the vehicle? Thanks!

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # CU29FR is a great choice for your 2020 Chevrolet Traverse. This 2" class III receiver accepts a large variety of ball mounts, and other hitch mounted accessories. It is rated for 750lbs of tongue weight and 5,000lbs towing. You can use a weight distribution hitch capacity with this hitch, but the capacities do not change. Be sure to verify your specific vehicle capacities with a Chevrolet dealer and use the lower of the 2 ratings that you have.

The Hopkins 7- and 4-Pole Trailer Connector Socket # HM40975 is designed as a factory replacement for vehicles that already have the factory wiring. For you to be able to use this connector on your Traverse you will need the wiring that goes from the OEM plug to the connector socket.

The Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 7-Way Trailer Connector # 118287 has the correct harness to go from the factory connector to the Hopkins connector socket. Currently we do not have the harness separate from the connector or available as a kit with the Hopkins connector socket.

Be sure to use Dielectric Grease # 11755 on all the electrical connectors. This will help to prevent corrosion in the connections.
