Comparing ShockStrap 297-9RSDB and 297-7RSDB For Securing 1800lb Kawasaki Mule FX

Question:

I have a Kawasaki Mule FX and the dry weight is a little over 1800 lbs. If I get the 2 Inch ratchet straps is it overkill or do you recommend the 1.5 inch straps?

I recommend going with the ShockStrap Ratchet Tie-Down Straps w Shock Absorbers - 2" x 9' - 2,000 lbs - Qty 2 # 297-9RSDB you were looking at as they will be slightly overkill with a 2000lb WLL (Working Load Limit) per strap, but there really is no such thing as too safe.

The 1-1/2" version # 297-7RSDB has a WLL of 1000lbs per strap, so that only gives you a 200lb barrier until you are exceeding the WLL.

Since they are so close in price, you would be much better of with the heavier duty strap.

I included a video of the # 297-9RSDB for you to take a look at.
