Roof Rack For Thule Tepui Tent on 2018 Jeep Compass Trailhawk

Question:

I have a 2018 Jeep Compass trailhawk and I am wanting to attach a Thule Tepui tent to it. I have gone to rei twice to get the proper roof attachment and it seems no once can give me the right answer on what I need or if it’s even possible. They say because I have flushed rails and a sunroof it isn’t a possibility to do this however I have seen many YouTube videos where people have successfully done this. I would love to find someone who knows what they’re talking about so they can guide me in the right direction. Thanks so much!

It's always a tough question to answer when you're a company that specializes in roof racks as the liability of the setup could get them in trouble. That being said, it can be done but they are probably concerned with the manufactures weight capacity of the roof on your 2018 Jeep Compass. All I can do is give you the heaviest duty rack and it's up to you to make sure your compass can handle the weight.

I would get the Yakima HD bars # Y01156 which are extremely strong. You'll need the towers to connect to the bars # Y53TR which you'll need this adapter # Y03541 and this landing pad # Y00245 to connect it to your roof. This tent would work well with this setup # Y07437 but if you already have the Tepui Tent, you're ready to go wherever!
