Suspension Enhancement Recommendations For A 2002 Thor Hurricane Class A Motorhome

Question:

I have a 2002 Class A Hurricane by Thor. I need to eliminate as much sway as possible when driving on highways with many curves and over paths. Is there a rear track bar that I can have installed? What is available for the front without changing out the swat bar on the coach?

Expert Reply:

For the front you can use the Roadmaster Reflex Steering Stabilizer with Mounting Brackets for Class A Motor Homes # RM-RBK22-RSSA to help keep your 2002 Thor Hurricane Class A Motorhome in line.

For the rear if your RV is 34' or more you'll need the Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar Item # 1139-144. If your RV is 33' or less then you'll need the Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar Item # RM-1139-143.

Note: These kits use a flat plate that is held in place by the leaf spring U-bolts on the rear axle. Check to ensure there is enough exposed U-bolt below the nut to accommodate the factory nut and washer once our 1/2-inch thick plate is installed above them. If you do not have enough exposed U-bolt you can order larger U-bolts with RM-590050-00 for U-bolts with a square top or RM-590050-10 for U-bolts with a round top.
