Wiring for Tekonsha Prodigy P3 on a 2017 Jeep Wrangler JKU

Question:

what is the right custom cable to install the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 under the dash for a 2017 JKU Jeep Wrangler? I cant find one online, only for the JLU. Thanks.

There isn't a correct custom cable for your Jeep Wrangler JKU, that is because the JKU's don't have the connectors under the dash like the JLU's. That being said, you can still get your Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195 up and running by hardwiring (splicing) it in. You would do this by running the black wire from the controller out to the positive side of your battery, the white wire from the controller out to the negative side of your battery, the blue wire needs to be run from the controller back to your 7-way and the red wire needs to be spliced into your stop light wire. To locate your stop light wire, find the wires connected to the brake switch at the top of the brake pedal. Using a circuit tester such as the Hook Probe Circuit Tester # PTW2993, find the wire carrying a signal when the brake pedal is engaged and then use a quick splice to connect this wire to the red wire coming out of the brake controller.

If you have an existing 7-way you are good to go for wiring.

If you have an existing 4-way you will need the:
Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7

If you have no existing connector at the back you will need:
T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat # 118416
Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7
