What Type of Fifth Wheel Hitch Can Be Used in Bed of Flat Bed Truck
Question:
I was looking for 5th wheel rails on my 2000 f350 and its asking for 6ft or 8ft bed but I have a 12ft flatbed on it. What kit do I need?

The problem with flat beds that are that long is that they end up not fitting under the overhang of the trailer which means you couldn't install the hitch in the correct location of the bed which is centered over the rear axle.
Also there isn't a rail kit designed for flat bed trucks but we do have lower profile hitches like the Reese Low-Profile hitch part # RP30054 which was designed for flat bed installs like yours. This will require fabrication to install in your truck bed.
