Will the GearSpace 34 Fit a 2020 Winnebago Vita 24P and a 2020 Toyota Sienna?
Question:
I am looking to get this cargo box but I am unsure if it can be used on my vehicles. The first is a 2020 Winnebago Vita 24P which is mounted on a 2018 Mercedes Sprinter 3500 chassis. The second vehicle is a 2020 Toyota Sienna van, model XLE, with front wheel drive. I am mostly concerned about the 31 inch extended position and what the weight limit would be in this 31-inch extended position. Thanks in advance.

The GearSpace 34 Enclosed Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitch - Slide Out - 34 cu ft - 300 lbs - Dark Gray # HGK819 is designed to fit a 2-inch hitch receiver on your 2020 Winnebago Vita 24P. I went ahead and called my contact at Let's Go Aero, and they confirmed that the weight capacity of 300 pounds remains the same even when the carrier extends to its full length. If you need a hitch recommendation for your 2020 Winnebago Vita 24P, I recommend the Curt Class 5 Universal Weld-on Hitch w/ Brackets - 2" Receiver - 44" Wide # C99CR. The Curt hitch receiver will fit frames 18-44 inches wide. It comes with all hardware required for a weld-on installation. Unfortunately, we do not carry any wiring harnesses that are made specifically for your 2020 Winnebago Vita 24P. For a maximum towing capacity rating for your vehicle, I recommend consulting your owner's manual.
The GearSpace 34 will also attach to a 2-inch hitch installed on your 2020 Toyota Sienna with front wheel drive. If you need a trailer hitch receiver that will give you enough maximum tongue weight capacity for the GearSpace 34 and additional cargo, I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # C13343. The Curt hitch receiver has a maximum tongue capacity of 525 pounds and a towing capacity of 3,500 pounds (which is the maximum tow-rating of the vehicle). For a wiring harness, I recommend the Hopkins Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # HM43494 (if you do not have the SE model van) or the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118498 (if you have the SE model van).
