What Size Are The Bolts Used To Install the etrailer Trailer Hitch e98865 On 2017 Chevy Equinox?
Question:
On part #e98865 the bolts that I received for the weld nuts appear to be 1/2-13 but everything I read says they should be M12x1.75 for 2017 Equinox. Do I have the wrong bolts in my kit? To identify the thread size I took it to the hardware store and tried a M12x1.75 nut on the bolt which did not work but the 1/2-13 nut worked.

The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98865 you ordered for your 2017 Chevrolet Equinox includes 2 carriage bolts that are 1/2-13 x 1 3/4 and the 6 bolts with hex heads are M12-1.75 x 40mm.
Make sure that you are using the bolts with a hex head and not the carriage bolts.
I included a video of the # e98865 for you to take a look at.
