Are the Spacer Blocks Required to Install a Trailer Hitch on a 2009 Honda Odyssey
Question:
There is no video for 2009. The 2008 showed a plate being installed behind the hitch which the 2010 did not mention. Why is it required for the 2008 and is it necessary on the 2009.

The installation instructions for trailer hitch # 75270 do indicate that you will install the spacer blocks on all models this hitch fits so you will use them on your 2009 Honda Odyssey even though the video for the 2010 does not clearly show it. I have included a link to the installation instructions for you to view.
If you plan on doing some towing I recommend the etrailer ball mount kit # EBMK4. It comes with a ball mount, interchangeable ball set, a hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag. For trailer wiring use # 118438. I have linked the instructions and a video for the wiring as well.
