etrailer e72TR or Curt C13281 Class III Hitch Fits for 2017 Kia Sportage SX
Question:
In some QandA you answered the Draw-Tite 76074 fits for the Kia Sportage SX but in one particular QandA you mentionned that the Curt 13281 is the only option for the SX version. ..... ? In one of the custumer pictures there is a SX version double exhaust with the Draw Tite installed. The Draw Tite web site mentionned Except SX and SX Turbo ??

The etrailer # e72TR isn't a fit for the 2017 Kia Sportage SX or SX Turbo, according to their website and I've confirmed this with one of my Draw-Tite representatives.
Curt confirms that their # C13281 is a fit for all models of the 2017 Kia Sportage SX, so that's what I'd recommend going with. If you're concerned about the notation about the Curt hitch requiring a # 18050 stabilizing strap, Curt no longer requires the strap to maintain warranty coverage, so you wouldn't need a strap. Curt does a nicer job on their powder coat finish, and the hitch itself is manufactured in the USA, so that would be my personal preference.
I don't have a good explanation of the photo you describe. In the review attached to the photo you refer to, the customer admits that he had to make some modifications in order to get the hitch to fit, so perhaps that's why Draw-Tite excluded it as a fit.
If you'll be using the hitch for towing, you'll also need a trailer wiring harness like # 118698, a ball mount like # 2753 and # 19260 for a 1-7/8 or # 63845 for a 2 inch trailer ball.
I've linked to install videos for the hitches and wiring harness mentioned above.
