Is Chucking When Using a Standard 5th Wheel Hitch and Demco Adapter for Ford OEM Pucks Normal
Question:
I have this and experience clunking when stopping or pulling away. Any suggestions?

Since this mimics industry standard base rails, there will be a little bit of slop to allow for slight differences between all of the different hitches and the clunking you're experiencing when using the Demco Adapter # DM6175 is relatively normal. Part of this may just be the hitch you're using and you can clean up some of the slop on the rails with some strategically placed washers on the installation pins.
Obviously with a hitch that fits directly into the pucks like the B&W Companion # BWRVK3370, you'll eliminate this type of movement so if it gets too bad you may want to consider getting a hitch that fits directly into the pucks.
