Recommended Adjustable Ball Mount With Plenty of Bumper Clearance
Question:
Hello, I purchased this Hidden Hitch Trailer Hitch Receiver # 87479 from you for my 2011 Odyssey. Recently I purchased an enclosed 7x12 motorcycle trailer and I need to get an adjustable mount that will extend beyond the bumper and get the ball to about ~18inch above the ground. On my current 2inch mount upside down the ball is about 13.5inch off the ground, so I probably need at least a 6. Can you help recommend the right match? - My concern is making sure it extends beyond the bumper. My current hitch is about 9inch from the mounting hole to the center of the ball and I dont think its long enough if it was higherfoot to be past the bumper - I do not one with a ball, although thats not critical. - Id like it to be class 3 and it would be a 2inch receiver and have a 1inch ball hole - if it has a ball, it would need to have both a 2-5/16inch and a 2inch ball Thank you!

I'd recommend the US-made # MD206 BulletProof hitch. The ball mount offers up to a 6 inch rise or drop, and includes both a 2 inch and a 2-5/16 inch ball. The ball mount features 2 hitch pin holes, the one furthest away from the ball provides a hitch pin hole to closest portion of the upright distance of 12-1/2 inches. When we installed the Draw-Tite version of your hitch (same hitch, different label) on a 2011 Honda Odyssey, we found that the hitch pin hole was recessed behind the bumper by 6-1/2 inches, so this will offer plenty of clearance.
Locking hitch pins like part # 34061674-D are highly recommended.
