To carry a canoe on a vehicle that does not have roof rack you can use a universal foam block carrier, # RL100K10. The roof on a 1998 Honda Prelude is pretty short and if your canoe is long then there may be too much front and back overhang to carry the canoe safely.
You will also need to check the weight capacity of the roof to determine if it can support the canoe. This information may be located in the owners manual.
