Replacement 4 on 4 Bolt Pattern Hub Compatible With 1.063 Inch Straight Spindle

Question:

I have a Cummins boat trailer for a 14foot boat that has a threaded 4x4 hub with a 1-1/16inch spindle and 4 screw in lugs. I looked all over the web and cannot find a replacement hub kit?

A 1.063 straight spindle is compatible with an L44649 bearing. I'd recommend the Dexter # 8-91-05UC1-EZ hub as a replacement. The hub has a 4 on 4 bolt pattern and is compatible with the L44649 inner and outer bearing.

Since your current hubs use lug bolts, it's considered hub-centric, which means that the lugs merely hold the wheel onto the hub, but the portion of the hub that extends through the pilot diameter of the wheel provides much of the load support to carry the weight of the trailer. The hubs we offer that would be comtpabile like the # 8-91-05UC1-EZ I mentioned are lug centric hubs, which means the hub's wheel studs support the vertical load of the trailer.

You might need to replace your existing wheels if the pilot diameter is less than 3.19 inches and the wheels don't have the 60º bevel or taper around the opening for the lug nuts to center the wheel.
