1994 Ford F-150 Hopkins EasyLift Truck Bed Tailgate Lift Assist Removal
Question:
If I install the tailgate assist on my 1994 F150 will it affect removing the tailgate when necessary? What will be required when putting the tailgate on and off? Thanks

The Hopkins EasyLift Truck Bed Tailgate Lift Assist, part # 74211, is designed to be a permanent installation. If you want to remove your lift gate after this lift assist has been installed, per Hopkins, you have to remove the lift assist from the hinges which requires twisting it 180°. With the lift assist installed this becomes a more than one person job.
