Best Suspension Enhancement For 2019 Ram 2500 4WD For Truck Camper

Hello ... I have a 2019 2500 Ram 4WD Bighorn with coil springs , I am getting a truck camper and was wondering what is my best option for my rear suspension. I am looking at the Firestone Red label air bags or the air load lifter 7500 . Which would be the best for my truck and what compressor would you recommend? And 1 more question I was told Timbrens were good too , how do they compare to the air systems above ? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

We can help you out here for sure, and the best option for your 2019 Ram 2500 4WD is definitely going to be air bags. The Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System # TDR2500D that fits your truck can do the job, but they can cause a pretty rough ride without a load in the bed due to their hollow rubber construction.

So I definitely recommend air bags, and the Firestone bags are the best because they are made with four layers of reinforced rubber, which is a thicker, more reliable construction than other air bags which have just two layers of rubber. These bags give you the most support, and are the most reliable as well. That said, the 7,500 lb capacity Red Label are a bit of overkill, so I recommend going with the 5,000 lb capacity bags; the correct fit for your 2019 Ram 2500 are the following:

The reason why is since your truck has a payload capacity of just over 4,000 lbs, you'd basically be paying extra for the unneeded higher capacity Red Label # F2706. The 100 psi, 5,000 lb capacity # F2598 will absolutely do the job to support your Ram with a truck camper, and at a better value.

A compressor is a really good idea as well, as it allows you to both monitor and inflate your air bags from your truck's cab rather than having to do so manually. The best option for this is a wireless set up that allows you to monitor the bags from either a remote or your smartphone:
