Where Is Trailer Connector Located On 2016 Chevrolet Express Van 3500 W/ Factory Tow Package
Question:
My van has a factory tow package with the hitch installed. Where do I locate the wiring connecter for to connect the wiring? Is it possible to connect both the flat 4pin and 7pin connectors for dual options?

Since your 2016 Chevrolet Express Van 3500 has the factory tow package, it should have a factory installed 7-way trailer connector.
If there is not one, look underneath the bumper/spare tire area of the van for a connector that resembles the harness shown in the included picture of the # 41157.
If you have this connector then you can install a 4-way/7-way connector combination # HM40975 that you were looking at without any issues.
Now if you cannot find the connector then your van may just have a hitch that was installed by a dealer, and does not have the tow package. For this you will need to install a 4-way connector # 118392, and then add a 7-way/4-way connector combo using the # ETBC7.
Now if you are just needing a 7-way connector for lighting functions of the trailer, this is all you need. If your trailer has electric trailer brakes you will also need a trailer brake controller.
I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195 due to it being an extremely reliable controller. This is a proportional controller meaning it has a built in inertia sensor that detects the intensity you apply the brakes in your van, and sends the same braking intensity to the brakes on your trailer for smooth, controlled braking.
If your van does have the factory tow package you will have the blue brake output wire run underneath the dash of your van to connect to the controller, but may need install kit # 5506 to power the controller if there are no other factory wires run.
I included videos of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
