Are Replacement Parts Available for an Atwood Surge Brake Coupler?

Question:

I need help identifying a surge brake hitch on a 2001 Prestige trailer that is for a Tige 24’ boat. It says the capacity is 8000lbs, ha a 2” ball, and the trailer has drum brakes. Unfortunately, I can’t find any part numbers on it. I am looking for the shock and master cylinder for it. I have added pictures below, any help is greatly appreciated.

The Surge actuator you currently have installed is an older Atwood model. The cap for the brake fluid confirmed that for me once I saw it. Problem there is that Atwood is no longer in business and no replacements are available, unfortunately.

We do have a potential replacement available, but it is quite a bit different. The Demco Hydraulic Brake Actuator # DM8609502 is a weld on actuator with a 2 inch coupler, and is rated up to 8,000 pounds. The only problem is how it attaches. I will weld onto the top of the A-Frame, but it needs to be a 50 degree point where it welds on. I couldn't tell what angle the end of your frame is, but it may be different.
