Is P2 Brake Controller Good Choice for 1998 GMC K2500
Question:
Was originally planning on putting a brake controller on a 2010 GMC Canyon, so I purchased a 90885 Tekonsha brake controller. Then after towing the trailer I realized the Canyon is a very poor tow vehicle. Since I have the brake controller would it work on a 1998 K2500 GMC pickup along with part # ETBC7 or is there a better setup for this truck? Please advise.

The P2 part # 90885 would work great on your 1998 GMC K2500 and the correct install harness/kit would be the part # ETBC7 that you mentioned as well.
The P2 is widely considered to be one of the best controllers out there and the ETBC7 kit is the simplest kit for installing it so this would be the way to go.
