Brake Controller And Ball Mount For A 2018 Thor Freedom Elite Motor Home With A Tow Dolly
Question:
I see posts about the brake controller connection being behind the coin holder - but is that correct for the Sprinter chassis? What controller and other parts do I need? - Is it better to go with the Curt bluetooth in this case? I have no ball or mount. I know I need a 2inch ball, but what size mount? What else do I need to be fully ready to accept a Stehl tow dolly? Thanks for the help. New to RVing, and forums are of little help in this case.

For your 2018 Thor Freedom Elite Motor home I recommend using the Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller Item # C51180. This brake controller is going to be the easiest to set up and works just like a standard brake controller. I have one and love it.
As far as the hitch receiver for your motor home, you would need to measure the distance between the frame rails. I have provided a link to the page to the universal heavy duty weld on hitches we offer as well as link to the bolt on hitches.
If your motor home has a hitch receiver and all you need is a mount and the ball, then I recommend something like the Draw-Tite Ball Mount w/ 2" Ball Item # DT49MR. With a 7500lb towing capacity it exceeds the 3500lb capacity of the Stehl Dolly.
