Weight Of The Advent Air RV Air Conditioner
Question:
Do I need to reinforce the roof on an interstate 16foot enclosed trailer to add something like the advent 13.5k btu rooftop AC? The current metal roof reinforcements are 24inch on center. I have added shore power/converter/battery/inverter/etc, and I was intending to run a portable AC that I had laying around, but its not keeping up. Id like to just go ahead and put the rooftop unit on, but I dont know if the roof will take it.

The Advent Air RV Air Conditioner - 13,500 Btu - White # ACM135 weighs approximately 75lbs so I recommend reinforcing the roof of your Interstate 16ft enclosed trailer to ensure it doesn't cave in and damage anything or hurt anyone. These units were designed for RV's that have 250lbs - 280lbs weight capacity roofs.
