5th Wheel Base Rails For Eaz-Lift Hitch or Underbed Rails & Sliding Demco Hitch For 2019 Ford F-250
Question:
I have a 2019 Ford F250 6.7TD, 6-3/4 foot bed. I also have, from a previous truck, an Camco EazLift # 1215. Looking to pull a 5th wheel with a GVWR of 12K 13K Max. Truck has a max tow of 14,100 or 14,800. I wanted to know if my existing hitch matches up with the hole patterns already in the 2019 F-250. As the second owner of the truck, I'm not sure if the holes I'm seeing are OEM factory holes, or something that the first owner did. If my existing hitch does not match up, is there an adapter plate/rails available? Or, would I be better off going with an under-the-bed mount for a new Demco sliding hitch? Thanks

Thanks so much for the photos they were really helpful, and what I can tell you is that those are not OEM holes for the factory puck system on your 2019 Ford F-250; what it looks to be is that the previous owner had a gooseneck hitch that they removed. So you do have a couple of options, which are to get new above-bed base rails and install your current Eaz-Lift hitch, or go with the underbed rails and Demco sliding hitch.
While I do see some rails in your photo, you will need new rails because you can't mix and match base rails and bracket kits, they do need to come from the same manufacturer in order to fit. So what you can do is add custom fit above-bed base rails to your F-250, which don't require any drilling into your truck's frame to install and will allow you to mount your Eaz-Lift hitch; the correct part is the following:
- B&W Custom 5th Wheel Installation Kit for Ford # BWRVK2402
The other option is the Demco autoslide hitch and underbed rails, which is really the best overall set up you can get for a short bed truck to tow a 5th wheel trailer. The underbed rails allow for a clean truck bed if you want to remove the hitch, the autoslide offers by far the most convenient way to use a sliding hitch, and it has an elite jaw system and cushioned head which means you get the most comfortable, quietest ride possible when traveling. The correct fit for your '19 F-250 for this are the following:
- Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # DM8550022
- Underbed Rail and Installation Kit # DM8551009
This is a premium option, to be sure, but if you do want to upgrade from your current hitch, this is definitely the way to go. Otherwise, the only other thing you will need is a 5th wheel wiring harness, and from your photo, you can see there is already a spot for that cut out on your truck, and will allow you to mount the following harness:
- Pollak 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Wiring Harness for Aluminum Truck Beds # PK11893-11932-010
