Recommended 7-Way Wiring and Brake Controller for 2014 Mercedes-Benz GL450
Question:
I need a 7 way wire harness to connect my 2020 KZ Connect SE travel trailer to my 2014 Mercedes-Benz GL 450. The Mercedes already has a 4 way plug at tow hitch. I also need a trailer brake controller for this Mercedes. What should I get? Thank you

I recommend the 7-Way RV Upgrade Kit for Trailer Brake Controller Installation - 12 Gauge Wires # ETBC7L for your 2014 Mercedes-Benz GL450. The kit comes with everything necessary to convert your existing 4-way to a 7-way and allows you to keep the 4-way connection.
I recommend the Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller - 1 to 2 Axles - Proportional # C51180 for your brake controller. Installation of this brake controller is simple and requires no additional wires. It is Bluetooth-enabled and connects to your smartphone, making your phone a brake control interface.
I have attached a review of the 7-way kit and brake controller for your reference.
