I may have a solution for you, but the 2004 and 2008 Chevy Silverado will use different bull bars and mounting brackets, so you wouldn't be able to use the newer bull bar on the older vehicle.
Instead, if you wanted to add a bull bar to your 2004 Silverado the correct bull bar for a 2004 Chevy Silverado 1500HD is the Westin E-Series Bull Bar with Skid Plate - 3" Tubing - Polished Stainless Steel # 31-5240, and for the 1500LD you'll need the Westin E-Series Bull Bar with Skid Plate - 3" Tubing - Polished Stainless Steel # 31-5170.
I've linked our entire selection of bull bars and grille guards for a 2004 Silverado for you to check out, as well.
