Can Roadmaster Comfort Ride Shock Absorbers Be Used With SumoSprings Trailer Helper Springs?

Question:

I currently have Sumosprings installed on my dual axle trailer. I want to improve my suspension on the trailer. I am planning on putting the Roadmaster shocks on. Can I continue to use the Sumosprings? Will the two work together or should I totally remove the Sumosprings? Thanks,

Since the SumoSprings Trailer Helper Springs # TSS-106-40 and the Roadmaster Comfort Ride Shocks # RM-2460 install in the same place, you would need to totally remove the SumoSprings.

With that said you will notice a pretty significant increase and ride quality as the Comfort Ride Shocks do a great job of absorbing road shock when going over bumps in the road, and help fight sway as well.

As long as your axles are 3" in diameter the # RM-2460 is the correct kit for you. If you have 2-3/8" diameter axles you will need the # RM-2450 instead.

Lastly the Comfort Ride Shocks require your axle to be below your leaf springs. If your axles are currently above the leaf springs you will need to add an over-under kit # K71-385-00 if you have 3" diameter axles or # K71-384-00 if you have 2-3/8" diameter axles.

I included videos for each of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
