Question:

Want to make sure this will fit a 2011 Toyota Corolla S. Also, is it compatible with theRhino-Rack Nautic Roof Kayak Carrier w/ Tie-Downs - Rear Loading - Clamp On Item # RR571? Or do I need the “channel mount”? Will this set up be sufficient for a Hobie Outback, weight 85lbs? The width of the kayak is 34” and the height is 12 1/2”. Will the tie downs that come with the Rhino Rack Nautic Roof Kayak carrier be long enough to secure the kayak? Yes the Rhino-Rack Nautic Roof Kayak Carrier w/ Tie-Downs - Rear Loading - Clamp On # RR571 will clamp onto the SportRack Semi-Custom Roof Rack # SR1002. This roof rack is compatible with your 2011 Toyota Corolla S.

The Rhino-Rack Nautic Kayak Carrier does not exactly have a weight capacity; the weight capacity of the roof rack and your vehicle's roof is what you want to look at. Since you are only mounting 1 kayak weighing 85lbs, you won't have to worry. The included tie-down straps are 9' 9" long and the included bow/stern ropes are 18' long so you won't have an issue securing your kayak to the roof and roof rack.
