Does the EcoHitch Hitch for the 2020 Subaru Forster Replace the Impact Structure

Question:

I have a 2020 subaru forester sport, I am deciding from the echo hitch and the curt 13459. I know with the curt that for the installation that the structure is replaced with the hitch but under installer tips for the echo hitch it does not mention that. Just want clarification and also your choice of hitch for my subaru. Also, when should the curt hitch be back in stock. Thank you

It sounds like you're referring to the removal of the bumper beam (impact structure) needed for installing the Curt Class III, part # C47HR, on your 2020 Subaru Forester.

The EcoHitch Class III, part # 306-X7391, will also be replacing the bumper beam permanently. I've linked to a video installation of this hitch. You will see at the 8:19 mark which piece this is referring to.

As for my recommendation, I recommend the EcoHitch. It's a great hitch with a low profile that has a max tongue weight of 525 pounds (higher than the Curt) and a towing capacity of 3500 pounds.
