Recommended 7-way/4-way Connector For 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Without Factory Tow Package
Question:
part for a 7 and 4 pin for a 2016 jeep wrangler

Since your 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited does not have the factory tow package you will need to first add a 4-way connector using # 118416.
With a 4-way connector installed you can then install a 7-way/4-way combination connector using the # ETBC7 which will plug into the newly installed 4-way connector and will only require a few more wiring connections.
You will need to run the black wire to the battery of your Jeep using the included 7-way connector, ground the white wire to the frame, and extend the blue wire to underneath the dash. If you are not needing a trailer brake controller currently I would still run the blue wire underneath the dash so it is already there should you need to add a trailer brake controller in the future.
If you do need a trailer brake controller I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195 due to it being an extremely reliable controller with great features like an easy to read LCD screen, and built in diagnostics that are easy to read and understand.
I included videos for each of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
