Can the Reese Goose Box RP85FR be Used With a Short Bed Truck

We do have a variety of offset gooseneck balls available to help with short bed trucks. That being said, this will depend on the gooseneck hitch and the vehicle that is towing. For example, the B&W Offset Gooseneck Ball # BWGNXA4585 will only fit the B&W Turnoverball installed on a Toyota Tundra. Again, this is just an an example and you will need to confirm which system you have in your truck.

That also being said, these are technically supposed to be used with long bed trucks. They can be used with short beds, however, but you need to keep an eye on the front of the trailer when making tight turns. Even with an offset ball, it is still a good idea to use caution. If your trailer has a V style nose, you are pretty much good to go with the offset ball.
