Trailer Running Lights Not Working on 2009 Honda Pilot With Tekonsha Wiring Harness Installed
Question:
I installed the 118491 in my 2009 Honda Pilot. Brake lights and turn signals work on trailer along with brake lights. Running lights do not work. Could I have a missed placed fuse or should there be 2 relays?

When installing the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118491 on your 2009 Honda Pilot the Instructions tend to be a little confusing as they are for multiple vehicles and kits. For your Pilot you will only require the one relay for the rear fuse box to be placed in the right terminal. The 20-amp blade fuse will be placed in the top right fuse slot (1). The 2 7.5-amp fuses will be placed in the 2 top left slots (3 & 4). There will be 1 empty slot (2) between the 7.5 and 20-amp fuses.
Under the hood you will install the large 30-amp box fuse in slot 3 and the last 20-amp fuse in slot 17.
If all the fuses are in their correct positions and are not damage be sure to check the wiring at the connectors. It is possible for the small tabs inside the connector to bend and not seat properly inside the connection.
