Replacing Slipper Springs on 1990 EZ Loader Boat Trailer With 3500 Axle

Question:

After reading many of the questions on # e33SR I think it is the correct part number for my application. However my measurement is exactly 26 inches on both left and right leaf springs and the slipper ends each have a bushing over the bolt. I believe these are the original leaf springs on my 1990 EZ Loader single axle 3500 lb trailer with no shackles like a tandem axle trailer for mounting. They look identical to your pictures. Is it possible the trailer came with double eye springs and were replaced with slipper springs at some point? Will the e33SR fit in the 26 inch space and function properly? Thanks

As they wear, leaf springs tend to flatten out. The first step is to get the correct length of the existing springs. In order to do that, you'll need to put the trailer up on jack stands and measure them (center eye to center of the slipper) with the axle hanging free. I'd recommend getting that measurement, then getting back with me with the measurement you get. I honestly couldn't say what the original suspension of your boat trailer was, if you could reply with the VIN of the trailer, I can check with EZ Loader and see what they say.
